North Atlantic Grand Casino Sweepstakes Dietz E. Company This company sent me a letter claiming I won a sweepstake I never even entered

I received this letter today and knew it was too good to be true. I never entered a sweep stake drawing in my life. Just to be sure I showed it to a couple of friends to get their opinion then we typed in the company name on the internet and came to this site. The claim numbers are the same as other reports except my letter has some differences (as do others) so I will paste it up here.
I hope they can be stopped some how because someone's grandma or sibling is going to get a letter like this and perhaps fall for it.

This is to inform you of the official release of the 2009 NORTH AMERICAN SWEEPSTAKES LOTTERY held on JULY 25th in the 2nd category. A ticket with the serial numbers FC/A - 034776582446 attached to your name drew the lucky winning numbers 9-12-26-38-44-45.

You are entitled to the sum of $125,000.00USD. This is drawn from a total prize of $1,250m that was shared and presented among the 10 declared winners. Please note that all the participants were selected through a random computer ballot system drawn over 500,00 names.

Your claim number is T A-222 and in accordance with our disbursement policy your prize award money has been forwarded to our clearing/disbursement institution to release your funds to your by certified check or money order.

To expedite the process, enclosed is a check of $3,950USD which has been deducted from your total winning amount of $125,000.00USD. This is to enable you to pay for the applicable taxes on your winning price.

Any typos found in this is made on purpose. I have typed it out exactly how it was proposed (although I can't make it as colorful).
If you notice all the names mentioned are different (except Kevin Bishop's is mentioned twice) and they are also different from the one on the check.
The check I received is from TOWN BANK in Wisconsin from a Dietz E. Company.
The name on the check is Amy L. Stiltin.
There are numerous mess ups in the letter, mainly small ones.

This is ridiculous that people are sending these things out and they need to be stopped. I admit they probably got my name from some website I signed up on three years ago, a mistake on my part (thought I could make some dough) but since then the only things I have signed up for on the internet have been scholarships and grants which I have done with my mother.

So please, if it is at all possible, put a stop to this before some innocent person falls victim.
