Charge my credit card for no service rendered

Miscellaneous

I have gone through the same issue as others, having my debit card charged for a continued membership when I signed up for a 3month contract. What I did was to cancel my debit card number for a new one; I may lose the first $15.00 over-charge but what a surprise they will get next time they try to charge me. I will simply write a snail mail letter cancel ling my contract and CC: my state attorney general office. For those using commercial credit cards I would either cancel the card or transfer current charges to a new card, take advantage of a card that is offering a promotion like a lower rate for a year or no charge for the transfer. Then do as I am, sent a letter to their corporate office with a cc: to your state attorney general, the more states attorney generals they see letters are being sent to the quicker they will change their ways. This might also result in a class action since even though we are being charged we are not able to access our accounts, therefore we are being charged for a service the company has not given to us. Good luck all.
