About a year and a half ago my fiance and I were going to get married at Cullen Gardens and we had decided to go with Kings Court Catering for our dinner. I got pregnant and when I went for my 4 or 5 month ultrasound where they measure the baby I found out there was a problem. I needed to be monitored closely and in January I was advised by my obstetrician that I needed to stop working as I was a high risk pregnancy and wanted to make sure I wasn't under any stress. At the time we didn't know if my daughter would have to have surgery after she was born. I was due April 7th and the wedding was going to be in August. After losing half my pay and my fiance losing a days pay every other Friday to attend the ultrasounds with me we realized that we wouldn't be able to do the wedding that we wanted. I ended up losing my daughter on February 17th and was off work until May. After advising Kings Court Catering what happened they advised us that we could get a credit for the $250 we put for the deposit. So after talking it over with family and my fiance we decided to just do a small family wedding and take advantage of the credit. I put the order in around August 25th and was quoted $99 for a large French Pastries and Squares. However, I checked the website again and it clearly states that the large platter is only $60 which I expect to get at that price. I called them up and they told me that they were doing us a favor by giving us the credit and that the quote they gave me is the correct quote and told me that they are in the midst of revamping their website. I believe if that was the case then we shouldn't be able to view their menu and prices. I printed off their menu where it shows the price for the tray that I wanted and they were not willing to budge. If this is the way they are going to treat their clients then I don't think they should be in business.
