Charging me for book club that I did not join - using phone #866 707 5858

I ordered a book from Amazon.com and it came from HotBookSale.com, which was o.K. With me.

Then a charge of 12.00 a month was taken out of my bank account. I called the number on the charge which was 866-707-5858. They said I had ordered the book on their website and joined a book club.

I told them that I had never heard of their company and had ordered the book from Amazon.com and did not join any book club.

He insisted that I did join the club and ordered from them. I got the club cancelled, but he would not refund my money. Amazon.com would do nothing about it.

I see that this number (866) 707-5858 has been reported to consumer complaints before.

The phone number for Hot BookSale is (888) 646-1662 but the charge was under this other number.
