We relly on companies for their expertise and assistance when in times of trouble. What we don;t rely on is being taken advanatage. I have a trane unit 2 years old. The motor and was diagnosed by a friend of mine that does HVAC for the military on extremely large units. He brought over all these meters and after given the unit a thoprough cleaning he diagnosed the problem. I spoke with a rep of Snyder on the phoneas well as my friend and he said they would come by tomorrow and install a new unit.

Well next morning came and they diagnosed the problem all over again and verified my friends finding. He was on site for no more than 2 hours MAX and I was charged $454.00. What can I do? I thought it was hi and he said that the part was warrantied but I have to pay for labor.
Later on in the afternoon my friend called me and when I told him the cost he hit the roof. He sadi that he diagnosed the problem, told Tim Wood on the phone the previous night what was needed. He said that he wished he wasn't working he dcould have helped me install the part. He said that is rediculous.

So I decided to call Snyder and voice my concern. I tried to get Ed Miller but he was on the other line so I spoke with a young woman and explainmed my problem. She was a little abrasive and very sarcastic (SHE NEEDS A GOOD SLAP IN THE FACE!) In either case, we went over the bill and she told me that I paid $345 for the diagnostic and she will speak to the manager and call me back in the am. Well did call me back this am and said the man was there for 3 hours including ther driving to get the part. I have to pay for his time and the gas as well as the mileage. I am also paying for the 20miutes he sat in the van and wrote up the bill. So what she said she will knock the diagnostic charge off of $97.50. I said just last night you said it was $345.00 and she claimed she did not. I told her I am done with their companyu and they are very dirty! She again was sarcastic and will mail $97.50.

Consumers BEWARE... You have to shop. They beat you up badly over these so called labor charges... What a horrible way to do business. I am also speaking with the local news media to let them know of this as well...
