Won't call back unless you tell them you need to send more money

I attened a seminar in Phoenix Az. The program sounded good, but the $1997 was an obsticle with my current financial situation. The salesman allowed me to give a $150 post dated check. After going over my finances I realized there was no way for me to afford this program at this time. So, I started calling the next day to see if I could cancel or make other arraigements, no reply, I called everday two to three times each day leaving messages asking them to please not cash this check, no reply. Of course check was cashed. The next day I called again, left the message that I didn't know where to send my next payment, recieved a call back within five minutes. I explained to the person on the phone that I could not afford this program at this time and could I possibly recieve a refund and they hung up. I understand it's my own fault for giving them the check, but wish they would have handled the situation in a more professional manner and returned my phone calls, even if they were not going to refund or cancel my payment..
