Domain Name Paid For, Renewed, but Removed by Webs.com and NO Result from Support for DAYS! So far

Last fall, my husband and I started a fundraising event for children with developmental delays. We purchased, and developed a website to increase awareness and raise the funds. We spent countless HOURS upon HOURS building the site, updating all those who donated to give them the necessary and well deserved recognition for their contributions. We followed all the proper protocol, invested the money to get the domain name we wanted. Then, come this July 16th, we automatically renewed our financial commitment through our bank account to garner our domain name for another year. And, Monday of this week I received a call from our organization who oversees the therapists involved who will help provide the equipment to the families in need that our site was not working properly. Now, mind you, we're approaching the time to launch our lending library of therapy equipment and invite everyone to an informational meeting. We've contacted Webs.com (formerly freewebs.com) MULTIPLE times, and to no avail. They've confirmed that we paid for our renewal, and that they have deducted the money from our bank account, but they "are working on it" is their only response. Meanwhile, our website is down and all of the content that we invested hours upon hours to input, may be gone too. And, they've advised us that we can't contact anyone by phone. Well, thanks to the other rip off report that I just found online, we have their number!!! Thank you. And, we'll be calling them tomorrow. I hope the Better Business Bureau investigates their business practices as they seem fishy to say the least when you're ripping off people who have paid you. So, moral of the story, don't ripoff a family trying to help children with special needs, that pretty much puts you in the lowest of the low category in my book! We'll be moving our site domain somewhere reliable, maybe godaddy who knows how to treat their customers.
