Lyndwell Insurance Company Personal Loans, Mortgage, Debt Consolidation

I was recently contacted by this company telling me they have been able to approve me for a personal loan of $10,000.00. The lady I spoke with was telling me that because I am considerd a "high risk" borrower that I will need to take out an insurance policy through a company Lyndwell Insurance to cover me in the event that I am unable to pay the loan they will cover it. I was then told that she would e-mail me the contract for me to review and she would call me the following day to go over and answer any questions that I might have. I did receive the e-mail with the documents attatched and they look to be real and accurate to what she told me over the phone.

I have been aware of many companies that rip people off by asking for money up front before taking a loan so I figured I would do a little research on both companies before I spoke to her again the next day. I tried to find more information on Tilex finance searching the web, bbb and rip off reports but came up with nothing except the web sites its self. Next I tried to look up the insurance company to see if I could find anything on them as well but absolutly nothing. I was reading the contract and saw that the underwriting insurance company was called " Compass Underwriting Group" so I did a search on them; I did pull a lot up on this company that is based out of the UK and a few things on the rip off report also. The lady I spoke with told me that both companies are based out of New York. Now I am skeptical on all the information I was told and e-mailed.

I waited for the lady to call me the following day so I could ask more questions about both of the companies. When I received the call I told her about my concerns and how when I tried to do a search for the Tilex grp the only thing that showed was the web site. I then asked her if they are members of the BBB, she then proceded to tell me that the company is a current member. I told her that I looked for the company on the web site and nothing pulled up. She began to tell me that is because they do not have any bad reports and that is the only way a companies name will show on the bbb web site. I told her that this is not true that a company will show and if there are any negative ratings it will show next to the company. I also told her I can not find any information on this insurance comapny that I am taking a policy out with and that the underwriter "Compass Underwriting" is a company based out of the UK and they do not work with the US. She told me that she is not sure were I got that name from and that she has been working with that ins. Company for the past 2 years and have had no problems with them. She also told me that she will have to contact her supervisor to find out why I am having such trouble finding information on the company. I told her to please do so and get back to me. I also asked her to tell me how would I be sending my money to the insurance company, being by Mail, DHL, UPS or western union. I was told that she does not know any information because I have not agreed to the terms of the loan and that can not be disclosed unitl I have accepted the loan. She also told me that I should understand that they do not have to disclose any information on were I will be sending the money to until acceptence of this loan. I then proceded to tell her that me as a consumer has the right to have everyting dissclosed to me prior to excepting a loan. She then got a little upset with me and was not pleasent and asked if I was just trying to find bad report with this company. I explained to her that I want more information regardless if it is bad or good. I told her to contact her supervisor and call me back with more information. I have not heard back from her yet.

I did call the BBB in New York and spoke to someone and asked them about this company and I was told that they are NOT a member and that any company asking you to send money is a complete scam.

The Tilex Fianance is a rip off and are able to e-mail you what appear to be actual loan documents. Beware of this scam!!!
