Deducted $351.66 from my MC a/c @ $58.61/m

My bank account does not send copies of canceled checks or debits, only lists the amount charged and the date on monthly statements. A $58.61 charge appeared that was quite similar to my insurance auto-deduction.in June, the insurance charge and this amount occurred at the same time. I called my bank who claimed the company was Federal Health. I have no account with Federal Health. I requested a phone number for the company drawing the funds.

I called the number, speaking with Candy Smith who said I opened an account for Government Educational Grants in February 09, which I did not. Ms. Smith said her company represented 15 WEBSITES! I have a masters' degree with no need for educational grants so I immediately recognized this as a scam. Ms. Smith said the company had been deducting $58.61 per month since February. I asked if the account was opened for Government Educational Grants, why were the charges attached to a company named Federal Health... No answer. Since deductions are fees for services rendered and legal contracts, I received nothing from this company for their deductions. I received no notification of amounts deducted per month, no services rendered, no information in the mail or confirmation emails, therefore all of this IS bogus and fraudulent. Ms. Smith said the account could NOT be canceled because it was not canceled within 7 days of its inception. Since I never opened this account, there was no way to cancel it. She gave me a fax number to cancel this erroneous account, sending the fax to the attention of Janet Johnson, which I did... No answer.

I searched the internet to find innumerable reports listing this company as a rip-off and scam. There needs to be a way to stop this!
