Did Not Honor The 10% Off First Order To Sign Up For Credit Card. I filled out the applications then was told it did not go thru. I've got perfect credit & a good job & own a home

I haven't applied for a credit card for at least 10 years. Today, at TJ Maxx, I was told if I applied for one I would receive a 10% discount on my purchases today. She came back and said it did not go through so I would not be honored the discount today. But she said, it will come in the mail in a week to 10 days and then I would be able to use. It. I've never been late on a bill, credit score is over 700 & have a stable work history without taking on any new credit in 5 years. Pay my credit card off every month. I did not believe she was being thruthfull, so I left the basket of $200.00 of clothes I spent an hour and a helf trying on. I would have stopped the credit card but they already had my personal information. I asked her if it happened a lot — people being refused the 10% discount for signing up for a credit card and was told it hapened 50-60 % of the time. I they did not seem bothered by the way this was handled. I'll go to Dillard's anual August sale & find some nice clothes.
