Refused to refund two monthly charges that I never authorized, after I cnacneld the account

I signed up for a free trial of their product with one dollar shipping which I paid for. I received an additional shipment that I returned to them. I never authorirized monthy shipments and payments. However I received my crredit card statement and found that they had charged me two months at $78.47 per month.

I contacted them by phone and after waiting several minutes talked to a person who was very snotty. She informed me that they could only refund me $45.00 because I signed the agreement for the original shipment, that authorized monthy charges. She told me since I never contacted them within a 30 day period I was responsible for these charges. Understand I was not aware, at any time, that I had signed up for the monthy program and do not think I did.

Furthermore, I was informed that the reutrn fo the shipment i made dod not matter since i did nto follow their specific procedure in returnign the shipment.
In my mind theis is an obvious scam and these people should be stopped so others are not taken advantage fo like I was.
