1st Gear Auto Inc. DBA North Coast Auto Auction preforms deceitful business practices and sells vehicles with defects and in need of repair.

I purchased an Audi A4 from North Coast 3 weeks ago. I drove the car home from Ohio and at the first service stop to fuel up, I noticed a burning smell. I immediately checked under the car and found a pool of oil (About a half quart in the 30 minutes I was stopped). I then had to put a quart of oil in the engine just to make it home.

I immediately informed North Coast the next day of the problem and the owner Kirill Volokhov and his assistant John Andi assured me that they would fix the problem and advised me to bring the car to my local dealer for an estimate.

My local Audi dealer prepared an estimate which totaled $2,000. My dealer said that the car had been in a previous accident and that this oil leak was because it had never been repaired. I urgently contacted them with this information. They then became evasive and difficult to reach by phone. After numerous calls and about 2 weeks without a car they finally contacted me and offered to give my dealer a used part (which I am uncertain of the quality) in lieu of the $2,000. I still would have to pay for the labor costs of the car which totaled to $800.

This is unfair and dishonest on behalf of North Coast. I purchased this car and was told it was inspected, there were no problems and once problems were found that they would be promptly fixed. North Coast has YET to do anything to help me or even try to rectify this situation. This repair and inconvience for me is due to thier negligence and dishonesty.
