I met a neighborhood handyman and contracted my roof to be done. I gave him half the cost for the roof. When it came time to do the work, he stated his father died and I haven't seen him since—7 weeks ago.

I spoke to him several times and he stated he 'would take care of me'. After multiple calls and empty promises, I've asked for my money back. He refuses to return my calls or my money.

I want to file in small claims court but have no address—all I have are 2 phone numbers and I can't track him down. I'm out of work on disability, my ceilings are leaking into four rooms of my house when it rains and I can't afford to get the work done without the money I gave him.

This man has left me high but certainly not dry with water damage and moldy rooms.
