Bald Eagle Marketing
My personal experience

Miscellaneous

I'm writing this because this is the only info about this company on the web and I thought that more people will probably do a search and want information also. At first, I didn't want to write anything, but after some consideration I just felt that the advertisement for the job was a little hyped. The ad should also be listed as a business opportunity and not a job, as that's what is ingrained into the workers. It's only fair for consumers to have feedback. Let me break it down simply. If you want to do the following go ahead and reply to the ad for the job...

1) Work 10-11 hour days, 6 days a week
2) Get paid strictly on commission (Note: The training is advertised as being paid, but see #3 to see how you actually get paid.)
3) Dress up in business attire (ie dress shirt & tie), knock on at least a hundred doors a day and try to persuade homeowners to get free information from companies.
4) Illegally solicit in neighborhoods without a permit & the chance of having the cops called and being arrested. If you want a permit, it is at your own expense.
5) Go to neighborhoods that have been visited by others in your company repeatedly.
6) Use your own vehicle, insurance, & fuel to travel to job areas. This is not deductible as an employee - unless you apply for your own business license and work it that way via tax deductions.
7) Promote companies who don't follow up on their appointments with customers.
8) Adopt a culture that uses weird psyched up terms like "JUICE!" and frowns at any inclination of negativity.
9) Be sold on the dream that if you work hard enough, you will be able to have your own army of people doing this for you in whatever part of the country you would like.

I was there for two days. The few people I worked with were cool and I had a good time with them on the way to and from the places we visited. But, I realized that if I stayed, I would be violating my own integrity. I am just one person. Don't base your opinion on just me. If you want more info, do a search on the parent company, Smart Circle, and read the feedback from past employees at other affiliates' offices. Read the positive and the negative, then come to your own conclusions. Take a look on Careerbuilder.com to see how many ads for this and similar companies have been posted in the last 30-90 days. That should indicate to you what the turnover rate is like.

*As far as the comment that they don't do sales... If you are directly interacting with a person with the intent of persuading them to make a decision, you are in some way involved in sales. Marketing= Sales via a system.
