Active Periodicals saying they are lowering my payment but set me up with 2 accounts instead

I received a call back in 2007 saying that my account was being renewed. I specifically told them that I did not want to order any more magazines because they charged all that money and the magazines you got were things that I would not want to read. They informed me that I could not cancel and that I owed them money for the new account.

Then a year later in 2008 they called me again and said that they could lower my payments for me and pay off the account and be done. Well I checked my bank account the following month and not only did they charge me for the original account of $29.95 but they charged me again for another account for $39.95.

I called to find out what was going on and they cancelled my original account for $29.95 for me but continued to charge me for $39.95 and extended my contract. So instead of being done with them in 2009 I was now locked into 2010.

I did not agree to any of this and they are calling me every evening telling me that I owe them money. I am not going to pay them any longer for an account that I clearly told them that I did not want. That they cancelled the one that I called and complained about.

I called them this morning to talk to a supervisor and try to get this whole this straightened out and the rep. Put me on hold and I eventually hung up because no one picked up.

I am tired of the harrassing phone calls that I get from these people and I will not give them any more of my money! I am willing to take a hit on my credit record than give these people who rip innocent people off out of their hard earned money one cent!!
