An unauthorized charge of $169.96 was billed to my credit card. I was told I became a member in May. Never happened. And Online Based

I received my credit card statement and saw a charge for $169.95 for Today's Escapes. I didn't recognize the name and I phoned the telephone number provided (877-82-6329CT).

The representative asked for my membership number, which I did not have or know. I told him that I was questioning a charge and asked what type of company was Today's Escapes. He said it was a membership company. Well, that still not answer my question and so I asked if he could elaborate. He said he could only tell me it was a membership company.

I then told him of the charge and that I was not going to pay and would dispute the charge with my credit card company. It was then he became more cooperative and said he might be able to pull the account and asked for my name.

I was told I had been a member for a year, since May. He claimed I had become a member through The Silhouettes Catalog. I order from Silhouettes but I order only clothing not any type of membership.

He then said he would cancel the charge and the membership. I see through your site that there are many other complaints about unauthorized charges.
Is there anything being done about this company?
