In March I received a flyer from Direct TV. They were offering a promotion of $29.99 a month. I called their 800 number and subscribed to that promotion. Their representative told me if I would allow them to debit my account the price would be $24.99 per month.
Direct TV has been debiting my bank account for $58.98 per month. I called them yesterday and spoke to 4 or 5 of their representatives and they informed me that I did not send the rebate in. I was never told anything about a rebate when I placed the order and I have never seen a rebate.
I am 73 years old and my only source of income is my social security. I cannot afford $58.98 and because the account is in my daughters name I am afraid to put a stop payment because of the effect it would have on her credit report.
