The story of Todd McKnight

I also feel for Todd McKnight's (he told me his real name is William Todd McKnight) story back in 2002. He advertsied on Monster.com for hiring someone then played their ego as a candidate for the "ownership/partnership" role.

What is interesting is that his story made sense but he did not have any type of back office processes built in. I am out a lot of money too and it is great to see people keeping his story active even after all these years. I think he has probably taken $300,000 or so from a number of people. The good news is that the State of CA department of corporations, FBI and IRS got involved which put Todd in a tough spot mentally and physically... And hopefully financially.

At the end of the day, I learned a valuable business lesson that cost me about $10,000 or so. Not too sure as so much time has gone by.

So keep the stories alive and well and let us hope that justice will find its way to Mr. Mcknight. If Drew, Peter, Greg and Jim (the guys in my group who were conned by Todd) are reading this, I am sure you feel the same way.
