Scams credit cards by continuing to charge after contract expires. Will not take calls

I agreed to a six month contract with 6 payments to be charged monthly to my credit card. $38.88 each.
I paid off the balance and then cancelled the credit card that I was using and found out that I have been charged for 4 months more than my contract. The only way I found out was that the credit card company called me to tell me the company had attempted several times to charge my closed account.
I called the branch nearest me and was told I have a $127 due to Midnite Sun and Cruise for my credit card being declined. She said you have to cancel your contract in writing to the Grand Haven address only, even if your contract expires. There is no one available at corporate office to call.
This is the most horrible scam I have seen. They charge you for months you don't owe and then won't talk to you.
When people agree to six months of payments, that is all they agree to. Not any more. The company is scamming tons of clients every month.
