Take My Paw Rescue
Adopts animals out for outrageous fees and then demands them returned with threats to adopt them out again, it is a money making scam!

I adopted an adorable dog from this rescue although the adoption fee was just as expensive as buying an AKC registered puppy from a reputable breeder... Only to have the rescue demand the dog be returned two months later! They used threats of lawsuits as a scare tactic.

When I was talking to the foster mother about this dog I should have recognized the scam after I was told that he had been placed in homes and taken back several times before. The greater amount of times they can place a dog and then scare people into returning them, the more money they make from each dog!

The representative of Take My Paw Rescue used threats of a lawcase and said "According to law, Take My Paw Rescue is entitled to no less than $500.00 plus court costs if they are forced to sue someone for the return of an adopted animal." This quote is directly from an email I received by such representative. The email continues to say "You have 24 hours to relay your intentions to me, via email, and 72 hours to return the dog to Take My Paw Rescue, at a location arranged and agreed upon by a representative of TMP, or the legal paperwork will be filed in Livingston County 53rd District Court".

It is a shame and an injustice for such an organization to continue using homeless, abused and sick animals for personal profit!
