Do not have your taxes done with Jackson Hewitt anywhere!

I had my taxes done at the Jackson Hewitt in Pocola, OK and was totally ripped off. First the man doing my taxes asked my husband how much he got back on the stimulus rebate the previous year, I then asked him twice during the conversation if he needed to know how much I received because we were not married til later that year and twice he told me no.

At the end of the return we were supposed to get back 2300.00 on federal and the IRS would send us 600.00 in a stimulus check. I said but we got ours last year and he told me this was something new they were doing this year. We paid over 300.00 to have our return done and when they called me to come pick up the check it was only 1400.00. They said on the return the man prepared it wrong and instead we were only getting 1400.00 but the irs would send the 600 seperately.

Well the tax returns, states and all, had to be amended and the employee was suspended for a week and made to retrain. About two weeks later, we still had not received the 600.00 so I called them again. They said we would not be getting the 600.00 because we received it last year. I was furious! They told me there was nothing else I could do.

I reported it to an owner in Muskogee, OK and they filed an insurance claim with Golden Rule Insurance Company, who would not return my calls and when they finally did, left a message on my voice mail telling me there was nothing they could do and hung up, only they didn't hang up and she told her co worker, I hope she doesn't call back and I am not sorry she didn't answer. We will never use Jackson Hewitt again!
