North American Direct Sweepstakes And Promotion Co (unclaimed Prize Division)
Sent me a letter saying I won $119,000. Seemed to good to be true... It was! Darla Simmons, what a fraud!

Received a letter from Guardian Trust Investments, Inc (North American Direct Sweepstakes and Promotion Co) (unclaimed prize division). The letter stated that I had won $119,000 payable by check to be delivered by a Special Courier Company.
Being a bit skeptical, I called but couldn't reach the number or person for a while. When I finally reached someone, he asked me if I wanted this publisized or kept confidential. He congratulated me and then told me to deposit the check and call him later in the day so that they could make arrangements to send my "Prize". Red flags went up!
I looked up the company names and found several reports of people who had received the same letter and had never received any money and that the checks that they deposited never cleared.
It is a good philosophy that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
