Firestone Complete Auto Care
Firestone charged me for an oil change which did not happen and I got a poor customer support from them

I took my car (2002 Altima, 99500 miles) in for oil change on Feb 28 (approx.) to Firestone in Draper, UT and they charged me $25 for it. The next oil change was due on May 28 or after 3000 miles whichever came first but starting on April 20, I started hearing a sound coming from the engine which was faint at the beginning but by April 26th, the sound became loud and I was scared to drive it. I took it in for inspection at Firestone and they said it would cost about $50 for it. I didn't want to pay for that so I took it to my mechanic in Salt Lake City even though I was scared to drive it for that long. The mechanic was very trustworthy so I decided to take it to him.

When he test drove it, he immediately knew that the car was low in oil. He opened the oil compartment and found a little oil which was very black like tar. And he confirmed that the oil had not been changed for 4-5 months and he asked me to go back and talk to Firestone. When I went back, the person working asked me to come on Wednesday (April 29) to talk to the manager Ian. I did so and was shocked to hear what he had to say. He said that he could not do anything about it and that I had to pay $90 to pay for the inspection (because I wanted to get the engine inspected for any damage). He further put the blame on me for not maintaining the car and said that he has Altima too and it is in perfect condition. He never for a second thought about investigating into what happened. There were so many things that he said to blame me. I was so pissed off and I asked for his boss' number and called and left a message but no one has called me to this date. I am so frustrated about this whole situation and I am worried for my car. I demand justice for this. This is not the way someone treats their customer.
