My dad has not paid court ordered child support since 1984. My parents divorced in 1983!
At the time, the courts ordered him to pay $60.00 a month. He had a good lawyer!
I spoke to my dad several years after he divorced my mom to ask him to help me pay for college (per court order), his response:
You are the kind of daughter that should have died when you were born.
He has since remarried and has a daugther.
