Want to return order E8562927 - did not know it was refurbished - Buffalo 4TB TeraStation - Buffalo 4 TB TeraStation NAS Multimedia Storage Serve

I recently purchased a Buffalo 4 TB TeraStation NAS Multimedia Storage Server from ecost.com. The item was not listed on their website as refurbished when I made the purchase. When I received the product there was a letter from the manufacturer explaining that the product was refurbished and that autobackup software that comes standard with new versions of the product was not included with the refurbished product. I immediately emailed and later phoned ecost.com to let them know that I was unhappy with the refurbished product and wanted to return it. The customer service people I spoke with informed me that the site's policy was that all sales were final and no returns were possible. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told that no manager was available, but I was assured that a manager would return my call. No one called back. Today I called again and had another agitated conversation with a customer service person who repeated the company policy to me several times despite my requests to speak with his manager. Eventually I was transferred to someone's voicemail in which I left a detailed message about the purchase and my unhappiness with the company policy. I have not heard back from anyone yet. I plan to file a dispute with Bill Me Later (my payment method) at the end of this week if the company does not resolve the issue.
