1031 Tax Deferred Exchange Rip Off

Hal Beswick is typical scam artist as well as a complete fraud. He claims to have over 20 years experience in the real estate profession, yet by his own admission he does not have a sales or brokers license, ergo he does not fall under the jurisdiction of any industry regulatory agency. He gave my wife tax and investment advice, yet he is not a licensed attorney, CPA or financial advisor.

He was the owner of Waterford 1031, a firm based in Salt Lake City UT, with a branch office in El Dorado Hills, CA. This firm scammed my wife for $1.3 million dollars in a 1031 exchange.instead of maintaining the funds in a trust account, this individual and his cronies commingled the funds with those of venture capital investors. They lost the funds and filed for bankruptcy in Sal Lake City on Friday March 20.

Hal is now touting his real estate seminars in Calif. He is featured on You Tube, but I am trying to have his ad pulled due to fraud and misrepresentation.

Beware of this guy. He is bad news.
