Ebay vehicle scam-takes your money doesn't deliver vehicle san jose, - new york - - new york

Miscellaneous

My name is Melissa. I was recently on craigslist to see about trading my truck for another smaller truck. I came accross a 2006 Nissan Murano for a pretty low amount of cash. I e-mailed the seller to ask how many miles was on the vehicle.'She' proceeded to tell me that the vehicle was her husbands who died in IRAQ 3 months ago. She said it brings her very bad memories and that she just wanted to get rid of it. I responded back my condolences to her as my brother is a marine and is going to Iraq.

That day I went back to lookup the vehicle on craigslist.com and e-bay unsuccessful to find it either one. I wrote her an e-mail and she said that she took it off because she didn't want to pay the fee's and sent about 20 pics (making sure not to include the tags) and a list of all the equipment on it. I searched the VIN: JN8AZ08T86W411729 on carfax.com and it came up clean but did not list who the two previous owners were, but that the car was registered in FL. Later when I asked the seller where the car was located she replied Angelia Neil, 35 Cold Spring Road, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. After the carfax came up clean I sent her my full name and address as she requested and said that she had a contract through e-bay that would handle the shipping etc.included in the price. The pages (multiple e-mails) I recieved from 'e-bay' as they use the ebay registered trademarked logos's, look legitimate and they directed me to get a moneygram (fax it to e-bay agent David Duran 2145 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125 United States and fax the reciept to 1- (720) 367-0163 (Which is somewhere in Colorado) and to wait for e-mail confirmation of shipping details. I looked this morning to see if I had anymore e-mails confirming shipping and had none, so I decided to call moneygram to make sure that I was contacted before the money was picked up. The money was recieved the same day I sent it, somewhere in New York.
I searched her e-mail address (angelia_neil@msn.com) on MSN and and was linked to: Cars/Trucks for sale on craigslist

I am in the process of filing a police report with the city of Frisco and would like any help you can provide in helping me to get my money back and make other buyers aware of this scam. I am a college student, single mother, and just trying to make ends meet. I sold my truck (which was all I owned) in hopes of getting a more reliable vehicle with better MPG and for what looked like such a great legitimate deal backed by the e-bay vehicle protection program and listed on craigslist.
Please help me,
Melissa,
