Stole money from me raised my interest charged late fee

When chase took over washington mutual I got a letter on that day I called chase spoke with steven or who ever it was as they dont tell you their real name. I asked him if everything like the interest of 3.99% fixed the billing cycle and the payments would stay the same he said Yes.
On 3/16 I got my statement from chase with a late fee of 39.00 and and interest rate of 13.24% I immediately called the company, was on hold 45 minutes, spoke with Rebecca? She told me I was late on bill I told her I was never billed until now she said washington mutual sent me out a bill in february I told her I never got a bill. She said it was their fault and I was now late on the bill so chase would not take off the late fee and I defaulted on the agreement so the interest rate would remain.
In all the years I had this loan I was never late on any bill. She would not deal with me so I ask for a supervisor she stated no they would have to call me back in 24 hours I stated I would need to tape the conversation when and if they called back and to tell them this she stated then they wont call you back. End of call.
I am now out 39.00 plus the interest on 1078.19 and 35.00 because I did change the loan to another company.
When I made the initial call to chase I should have been told where to send a payment during the change over at that time I had not a clue that I was being set up to fail and to make me look like I never paid my bills.
Why as a good paying customer would they not work with me on this?
I have sent this to my local news station nbc in columbus, the BBB and to someone I really hope can help president OBAMA.
