This Collections Agency uses harrassing tactics to collect bills that are fradulent

I received a bill claiming that I owed $370.06 to T Mobile. Having NEVER had an account with T Mobile, I initially responded to Afni, Inc.By phone to alert them to this mistakenly received demand for payment.

Their representative was sarcastic, belittling and refused to listen to my explanation. It was clear by the way my call was handled that this agency is suspect in their practices. Afterall, I was calling them in an to attempt clear up THEIR mistake.

No agency, regardless of whether they are attempting to collect a debt or settle a dispute, has the right to harass or demean. First red flag.

Second red flag. The representative kept shouting at me, "does this mean you are refusing to pay?" "No, " I politely replied, "how can I refuse to pay for something I haven't ever purchased." The more calm I became, the more irrate he got.

I have sent a letter, via USPS Certified, Return Receipt Requested demanding proof of a purchase that I've never made.

There is something really fishy going on with Afni, Inc.
