I ordered products from Goddess Within ("GW") on October 18. When I hadn't heard from GW by mid-November, I sent emails to find out about the status of my order (I followed the instructions on the GW site). I got no response. I left a phone message.instead of getting a call back, I got an email simply containing the FedEx tracking number and advising that my products were shipped on November 6th (3 weeks after I ordered them). When I hadn't recieved the package by November 17th, I went to the post office (GW uses FedEx Smart Post, which is a FedEx ground service that delivers to the post office nearest to your house and, in turn, the post office delivers the package). The clerk at the post office searched for my package and the even talked to my mail carrier. There was no package. The postal employees told me that Smart Post is one of the cheapest ways to mail a package and that they frequently have problems with it. I called GW Customer service and, after waiting on hold for about 30 minutes, the response that I recieved from the customer service rep was stunning. He was rude (I got the sense that I was bothering him) and told me all he could do was try to track my package (that clearly was not the problem, I could do that; the problem was that I didn't have my products a month after I ordered and paid for them). No offer was made to replace the products or to otherwise accomodate me. At this point, I began to wonder if GW Beauty was legitimate. After I got off the phone, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. To my surprise, the original package arrived on December 12 (nearly 2 months after I ordered the products).in the meantime, I had ordered similar products from another vendor (which I recieved within a week of ordering) and no longer wanted the products from GW Beauty (I frankly wouldn't have wanted them even if I hadn't ordered something else—I was pretty disgusted with GW Beauty at that point). I wrote a 3 page letter detailing my experience and shipped the products back to GW at my own expense (including paying for tracking and insurance). It took only 3 days for the package to arrive at GW's business address from my house. I have not recieved a response to my complaint and it is clear to me at this point that I won't. Based on my horrible experience, here is my advice to others: caveat emptor (buyer beware)!
