Doesn't Pay His Workers

Kevin Ellner has finally been brought to justice for not paying my husband after he had worked for him. "Pablo" and some friends of his worked for Kevin for for a month with no problem, then Kevin cut the others and told Pablo he liked his work and needed him to stay on, he would give him a raise, but he could not pay him until the job was finished. My husband agreed but there was a catch; the jobs were never finished, he would be moved from one site to another. Kevin was constantly taking on new clients with an up-front fee but never had money to pay Pablo. After a week and a half of this, about 70 hours of no pay, my husband quit. Pablo did not want to cause a stink about it since this happens regular for undocumented workers and he did not want to talk to the authorities. This was almost 2 years ago.

Through a lot of help from the Equal Justice Center we finally got Kevin in court. Actually, his attorney showed up and paid the courts - 30 days later the check was released to us. For those of you he has cheated, call him to task on it. Granted, it will be a long process and very frustrating at times, but well worth it. Kevin is a smooth talker and everyone is less smart than he. Get past not able to recognize a liar when you see one, he has dedicated himself to swindling, he works at it constantly and has almost perfected the ability to deceive. Let's show him he won't get away with it.
