Credit Card Charged but No Merchandise

On 1/19/09 I ordered $475 worth of cycling merchandise from teamcyclist.com. There were 3 items. I received the first item on 1/27/09, The other two items were marked as "In Progress" on their online order status. On 1/26/09, they charged my credit card for the entire $475 order.By 2/3/09, I had received the 2nd item, but the largest priced item ($219 shipping) was still "In Progress". On 2/6/09, I looked at my order online again, and it recommended that I select another item for the 3rd piece. Apparently teamcyclist.com could not get that merchandise. I selected a different, lower priced item. On 2/6/09, I looked online and the alternate piece of merchandise was still not available. The website was offering for me to select something else. I called them on 2/7/09 and they explained how it could take a long time to get the items as they only get them from the distributor. They had no ETA of when the items I wanted would be available. I complained that they should not have charged by credit card for merchandise they didn't have and that they had no idea when they would have it. Their response was that Amazon.com does it! I told them I wanted a refund of not only the $219 merchandise, but also the $30 Next Day Air charges that they put on my credit card. On 2/16/09, I received an email from Teamcyclist telling me I had a store credit for $219. I called them on 2/17/09 and stated that I wanted a refund to my credit card, not a store credit as I had no intention of ever buying anything from Teamcyclist.com again. I was told that this is how their "system" works. It looks like a store credit, but it will actually be put back into my credit card account and that it will include the shipping charges for a total of $241. They said it should hit my card by 2/23/09. Today, it is 3/2/09 and I still don't have the $241 back to my card. Teamcyclist.com has had the use of $241 of my money for more than a month without producing any merchandise and without even being able to predict if they could have ever produced the merchandise that they charged me for.in addition, everyone knows that it takes one day, overnight, for a refund to hit your credit card. They have absolutely no excuse, no technical or business reason why they have persistently held on to my money for so long.
