Universal Subscriptions
Ripping off the youth of america

Miscellaneous

I am so angry about this company and the fact that they spout rhetoric about helping the youth of today on their phone message. I have yelled and screamed into their answering machine. Childish - very - but I am frustrated beyond belief. They sent one of their "youthful" sales people into my sons student housing complex in Tucson and hit as many young college studnets as possible. My 18 year old son wanted to give the salesman a $10 donation since he gave him a story about how hard up he was and how this job and the points he could earn would help him and his young child. He told my son that he would recieve the points even if the order was cancelled and the money refunded. My son, believing the sincerity of the salesman, ordered $200 worth of magazines (which he has never seen). He sent his receipt in within the instructed time for a refund which he has also never received. I actually spoke to someone within the first few days after he returned his receipt for a refund and they assured me his money would be returned. Well we are still waiting a month later, no magazines, no money, and this ocompany continues to rip people off. I want to vomit when I think of people using youth to rip off youth and I contacted the housing complex to warn them of the scam. If anyone has any idea on how to hold this firm accountable for stealing my son's money, please let me know.
