Be aware, this company wants to get you bank account information

I received a letter with a $4998.00 check that was enclosed was not to be cashed until I contact them with the phone number provide, to confirm the claim's number. The check had a different address than the letter. I knew that this was a rip off, but decided to call anyway to let the person on the other end know that this was fake. I was informed that this was not a prank and to deposit the check and then call them back for further instructions. The person on the othe end was very rude and was quick to get off the phone when I insisted that this was a deploy to get into other people's bank account. I'll be passing the letter on to the authorties and hope that this company or so call company will be shut down and stopped for their scam
