United Respon, They withdrew $279 from my account with a check that has my address which is wrong from a different state!

On Jan 16 i noticed a check withdraw from my account. It was from United Response Services. I did not authorize it I have no idea how they got my account number.

There was an 800# on the check which is an answering service. They gave me another number and after several attempts I finally got someone. The guy said they would return the money in five to ten business days. It is day 12 and I called again. After several attempts I finally got through. This time the guy in a very monotone voice with no emotion says they mailed a check to the address on the check. The address on the check was a wrong address in FL.

I wanted a supervisor he then told me a supervisor could not help. I am very mad at this point and started raising my voice. He then hung up on me. I called back it was the same guy again with the monotone delivery as soon as he figured out it was me he hung up again.
My bank told me to get in touch with them. I wonder how many other people this has happened to?
