My husband set them straight

Portfolio Recovery started calling me about a year ago.

They are trying to collect a debt that is my ex-husbands responsibility.

My ex listed the debt in his bankruptcy.

This is a debt that happened in, YES, 1984 folks. 1984. OMG.

When I told them it was not my problem, i was told, 'Don't get smart with me, Missy'

This just made me irate!

I told them to go @%# themselves and to quit harrassing me.

They starting calling me again today.

This time my husband took the call and threatened them with litigation.

The "sister" laughed at him and tried to talk over him; until he informed her that my wife (me) was just getting over her chemo and radiation for breast cancer and that he could prove in a court of law how that this type of harrassment would affect me and that we would get 3 times what they say we owe them in damages for harrassment.

We have not heard from them in a few weeks but I am sure we will be hearing from them again.
I intend to NOT pay a debt that I do not owe and it is a debt that is over 25 years old.

do not give them one cent.
If you owe a company money, you will get something certified in the mail.

Let Portfolio take you to court. Ha, they will not. They are trying to collect old old debts that are no longer collectible.
