Received counterfeit check

Someone sent me a counterfeit check for $5250.00. The check showed up on my door step from FED-EX. The check was printed to look like it came from Gator Boring & Trenching, Inc. From Pensacola, Fl.

I contacted the office manager this morning at Gator Boring. She advised me the check was counterfeit. If you have not provided a service to this company why would you believe they would send you a check.

Gator Boring & Trenching, Inc. Has not sent out these checks. This is the work of some SCAM artist. Some bum that is to lazy to get out and work so they have to scam other people out of there money.

The only way I believe someone received my information was because of my listing on Craigslist.

Please DO NOT get caught up in this SCAM.

If you cash a counterfeit check it might clear at first and come back a few weeks later. If you have spent this money you are screwed either way you have to pay it back. And could be in trouble with the LAW as part of the SCAM.

PLEASE report any more information you have about anyone that scams you.
