Gmac took over our mortgage from another co. Who went under for doing, the same thing gmac is doing when they took it over the payments were up to date. They collected 3 payments and then they sent the fourth one back and said we were behind oct, nov, &dec. Of 2003. So we sent a copy of cancel checks. They totally dismissed the checks and proceeded to try to forclose. We went to court 4 times. The judge told them on the fourth try not to bring it back to his court again that they had nothing. They are still trying to get it oh and wont accept any payments on it. My husband is72yrs old i am 66 we dont have the money to fight them with. But when they get it if they do they will have acrude awaking.
