"Jake" In Black SUV
Olin Ross Speaker Scam

I had just pulled into a parking lot and a guy (he said he was 26) in a black SUV calls me over. I only went over because I thought there was something wrong with my car and he had been driving behind me. He then proceeds to tell me that he had gotten a couple extra sets of Olin Ross surround sound speakers in the car ("his boss' car") and if he showed up to meet his boss, the boss would just keep the extra set for himself. He also said he was just trying to get enough money to get a hotel room to stash the extra set so he could sell it on craigslist. I wasn't in the market for speakers at all, but was stupid enough to give him $300 from the conveniently located ATM in the parking lot. As soon as I could, I looked up Olin Ross online and the first thing I see is scam. I pull out the receiver/woofer from the box and it has no digital inputs whatsoever, so I'm sure I've been screwed as well. Teaches me to buy anything out of a van/SUV ever I guess...
