Refunds/Returns - at their mercy to receive your REFUND!

I too have been "ripped-off" by Gem Shopping Network's return & refund - or better yet their inability to provide refunds in a timely manner. And I do believe that you are not getting the actual stones that they show you on TV.

It has been over 30 days, and after numerous calls, still no refund from them. I have contacted my bank and they have provided a "provisional refund" to my account until the actual refund is received from these crooks!

I purchased an item, which was my first purchase. It was a plain ring with 1 stone in the center. It looked like junk when it arrived. I immediately called them to obtain an RMA #. I brought the item immediately (same day) to Fedex and shipped it back to them. I am in Athens, Georgia and they are in Duluth, Georgia which is just a stones throw away from me.

I had no idea that this would be the problem it has been. I have purchased items from other TV shopping networks and have received a refund in a very timely manner. But GEM SHOPPING NETWORK gives you the line that "well we have to have our gemologists check to make sure you haven't changed the stones". OK - that sounded reasonable enough to me. But it has now been 30 days and still no refund.

The worst part is that old stupid me just days after I returned this item decided to purchase something else. I was still unaware that Gem Shopping Network's refund policy could be anywhere between 30 days (if your lucky) and 60 days (if they decide to refund your money at all).

Well, I received the 2nd item I purchased and it was OK. I was going to keep it but then I called customer service to find out where my refund was - and that was when they actually informed me of the 30 to 60 days. I guess you could say I just about had a stroke when they told me that. It was then that I requested an RMA on the item I had just received and I again immediately sent back my 2nd purchase via FEDEX. That was on 1/12/09.

So - as of today 1/16/09 I still have not received my first refund of $903.60 (it's been over 30 days) - and I am in the process of contacting my bank yet again about this 2nd item that was returned so that they will provide another "provisional" refund to my account in the amount of $740.60.

I will NEVER EVER purchase anything from them again. All I can do right now is pray that I will get all of my money back from them. If it takes them so long to provide refunds, it makes me wonder if they are using all of the money that they owe people for refunds to keep their business going. After all, I could be getting interest on my $1,644.20 - but they are.

Everyone - please heed my warning - STAY AWAY FROM GEM SHOPPING NETWORK. I honestly feel that they are a bunch of liars and crooks.
