Crammed $12.95 on my Frontier phone bill

Like a lot of people, we don't check our phone bill as we should. We now have a personal accountant who asked us about this $12.95 monthly charge. I investigated with my Frontier, my phone company, and discovered that a company, ILD, a third party billing company was the culprit.

I called ILD and they claimed they were simply billing for a company by the name of Emegency Road Voice, a stand alone voice mail message service. I called them and they claimed that my wife had subcribed on line.

My wife is more internet savvy than I am. She would never subscribe to a service we didn't need. She said she certainly did not subscribe to this service.

"Emergency Road Voice" said they could credit us for two months of the approximage 3 years of $12.95 monthly charges. But that since my wife had subscribed to the service on line, we couldn't get credit for the rest without first faxing a request for a full refund. I will fax the info; I just don't think it will work.

I told them what I was going to do and it didn't seem to upset them in the least. I'm sure they've been "pealed" by consumers every day.
