Interval World A Total Rip-Off Do Not Go There, They Even Got A Bank Of America Card For Me Without My Knowledge, for $10,695.!

Miscellaneous

I went to Puerta Vallarta Mex, Nov 27, to sell our existing time-share with Playa Del Sol and HSI because my husband and I were divorcing. I was staying at Playa Del Sol using one of the weeks we had coming. They immediately, the next morning, wisked me into their 'presentation'. The breakfast was complimentary and the salesman was extrememly hard sell.

I told him numerous times my situation and that I was just there to sell, not buy anything. He would not help me do that. I was ready to leave when he offered me a 'downsized' version of our original time-share. I was led to believe it would be more beneficial for us financiallly. So I thought the maintenance would be less, etc. I signed the papers on good faith because we had good experience with this resort in the past.

After the week I spent there I flew directly to Hawaii to stay with friends, for an unknown amount of time and turned in a change of address. Much to my horror I received a brand new Bank of America credit card with $10,695 already charged to it from Interval International. I immediately called Bank of America and sent in a dispute form.interval International had the dispute reversed in Feb and I was responsible for the charges to my new card.

I refuse to pay the card and so it has ruined my credit. One month, Aug I was convinced by the Bank of America people to pay just enough to protect my credit, so I did pay about $800. That month. Since then I changed my mind because they just wanted more money and were not listening to me anymore. They know it is a scam and apparently cannot help me.

I was never told I was applying for a new card and in fact the people at Bank of America told me it was all done over the phone from Mexico. I already had a Bank of America credit card and certainly would not apply for another one and charge up $10,695 for a time-share.

Interval International is completely misleading and are scamming poor people like me and ruining my credit, which used to be very good. This was not a language misunderstanding because the sales person was an American, from San Francisco!!! His name is Mike Van Der Voort and he is a total liar and a cheat.
