WAMU - Chase - Providian
Credit Card - 31.99% interest rate!

Have been a faithful credit card customer of this bank for over 8 years. They have raised my interest rate slowly and it is now 31.99%!!! One tenth of a percent below the legal limit. I called them on 1/9/09 and was able to get as high as a Mary Padula (925-738-5545).

Wanted to speak to the president of credit card services, an Anthony Vuoto but they would not let me. Mary said she was speaking for the executives of the company. I asked for a lower interest rate and she refused. I have 2 accounts with them. The other acocunt is at 23.74%. They wouldn't even lower the one account to the other rate, which is rediculously high.

This is how they treat faithful customers. They are nothing but a ripoff. I pay my bill on time and always pay more than the minimum and this is the way they treat a customer.

Yet they will offer a "new" customer a rate of 9.9% yet won't offer a faithful customer anything close to that.

As far as I am concerned, they are a ripoff. They have no concern or business ethics and treat good customers like crap. I will never do business with them again and I would advise anyone to not do business with them.
