FORMERLY THE CHIMNEY MAN 1-800-406-0001 CONSUMER BEWARE they advertise in the local coupon books with $20 off your cleaning. The company is not registered as a business with the City of Seattle, the WA State Dept of L and I and the WA State Dept of Revenue as required by state law.

My sister-in-law has been using this company, employee Rodney for many years under the impression that her chimney was being cleaned each year and that the work he charged for was done. However we found out otherwise and have documented pictures to prove that her chimney has never be cleaned in the past 5 years and due to lack of cleaning has caused $1000 in chimney damage and could have resulted in a house fire. She uses her standing woodstove as her primary source of heat and is on a disabled income and he continually ripped her off.

If you call the local Seattle phone # their is an agent that answers the phone that claims she is the answering service for the company based in San Ramon, CA. However she provided me the same phone number of 619-540-1452 which belongs to Craig Dalrymple, Sole owner, MacIntosh Sweeps Inc. Formerly The Chimney Man If you look up The Chimney Man online you will find other complaints from local consumers. Several attempts were made to contact the owner with no return phone calls.
