Cortrust Bank threatened to file charges against me for saying they're committing fraud

I am being harassed by collections department. I have a Cortrust credit card that had a $250 credit limit, however I started out with only $50 available credit, because there were over $200 in opening fees charged to my account initially. I was told I had $50 available credit, but the company didn't say I had to figure the interest and monthly fees myself (this was in the "fine print", according to the agent). I used the card only twice for less than $50 total. This automatically put me over the credit limit for which I was charged a fee of approx $50.

My balance is now over $500 because I am having trouble making the minimum payments due to financial hardship. I asked for a "fair settlement" to close the account and strop the fees and interest. I told the collections agent that I feel they are committing consumer fraud as

I have read similar stories about this company from others on this site. The collection agent stated that my call was being recorded and threatened they would file charges against for saying this. She said she was tired of all these "rumors" being written about Cortrust Bank. This woman sounded mentally unstable. I advise other consumers NOT to accept a credit card offer from this company!!!
