Aspire
Closed husbands account for NO REASON

Miscellaneous

My husband had an aspire account for 2-3 years. And today 12/11 we received a letter stating that account will be terminated but was still expected to make monthly payments.
My husband called and was told that company made a "managment decision" to close all accounts because of bad economy and that interest would still be included in payment.

So. They close a good account for no reason and then still expect a monthly payment AND interst. What a rip-off. Do we as consumers have any say in any of this. We are trying really hard to keep our credit straight since we paid off all bad credit last year and now this happens. What are we supposed to do.

All these companies are getting goverment help to save their butts because they made bad decisions to give people home loans and what not and now they are scrambling to break even. And in the meanwhile the "good consumers" are getting screwed in the end.

Who's pockets are these payments going in? If anyone can help us we would all really appreciate any help we could get.

Aspire was Providian ripoff, dishonest and does not keep their word. When I married my husband in 2001 he had a Providian credit card. There was no way we could pay what they were requiring us to pay. We are still (after 5 years) paying on this account
