Unprofessional, uncaring staff

Yesterday after filling out application for the department of human service I realized I needed care asap I couldnt wait 45 days for processing. After making several calls to other agencies I found out that I could apply for temporary medicaid. I called the department of human services and this is the converstation.

Dhs - department of humans service how may i help you?

Sf - yes i would like to apply for temporary medicaid.

Dhs - okay let me transfer you to brenda woodard.

Sf yes my name is suzzanna foster and i filled out an application today and i was wondering...

Bw - no no no no i cant do that?

Sf you cant do what?

Bw - i cant approve your medicaid today.

Sf that wasnt what i was about to ask!

Bw - okay well you can go ahead and ask what you were about to ask

Sf - i was wondering how to apply for temporary medicaid because i cant wait 45 days. I have a high risk pregnancy and i have health problems.

Bw - oh, you have to go through the health department.

Sf - do you have their number?

Bw - no mam i don't

Sf do you know where they are located?

Bw off cedar and pine

Sf okay i'll look it up on the internet, thank you

This agency didn't try to help me in any way. Each time I call I get a busy signal, or the phone rings over 20 times before someone answers. The staff act as if they have too much to do and they don't have time. I am sure this has been going on longer than I can even imagine.
