New construction Rip Off, lousy craftmanship, coerced by public officials to obtain CO

Purchase of a "package deal" modular home with property advertised on internet, which was never completed. House was issued a CO with existing problems of contaminated well water. Leaking sewage disposal, underground stream, flooding well, septic tank, foundation, undermining driveway. Builder never returned, did not honor terms of contract.

Claims brand new house was sold "as is". Every government agency contacted agreed property should never have been built on, yet local officials issued a certificate of occupancy. Owner now after major repairs to make house livable, can no longer afford to live there. Owner is a senior who was duped into a "affordable, maintainence free" home which continues to be an on-going nightmare.

There has been no recourse offered by any agency or public official. Private attorney claims legitimate law suit which would take time, money and no guarantee of reimbursement. NYS code Enforcement has done nothing, and builder continues to rip off honest, unsuspecting, buyers.
