Not refunding deposit when consultation was free

My wife and I went in for a free consultation with Atty Miller on12/14 and we left a $400.00 deposit to file bankruptcy. Wedecided after a few days that we could not afford to file at thattime due to the cost of his services which was $2500.00, which hadto be paid before any filing to the court would take place. We calledand spoke to the atty and he said that we could not get a refundas a whole or partial. That we had a year in which to continue ourbankruptcy with his firm. That under no circumstances would he refund any money back to us. I tried to explain to the atty that we could not make our finances work with his charge and we need to be refunded what we paid and he again said no, you have a year.
