$800 FPL Bill for 48 days

I am filling out a report on the Falls of Pembroke Community because ever since i moved in it has been a headache. I am 21 years old and i rent a 2-2 from this community. I pay $1,500.00 in rent and as if that isnt enough... They also added valet garbage and water to my monthly rent... So now i pay about $1,600.00

The problem started however when i got my first FPL bill in the mail. I received a bill of $800.00 for 48 days. I had FPL come out to see what the problem was and they found out that the AC unit in my apartment was so old that it didnt even meet the florida code/standard. I then contact the front office to let them know and they had their own mantenance guy come out to check it. Of course he gave a completely different reading and said that there was nothing wrong with the AC.

I kept calling the front office to see what the problem might be and they finally agreed to put a new AC unit in. And now i have been calling still to see what type of deal we could work out for the FPL bill and the property manager told me that she did some calculations and that she was goin to give me $142.00 towards my $800.00 bill.

When i did the calculations myself i find out that the $142.00 is what my standard FPL bill should be per month. I then explained to her that i should be paying the correct monthly amount and that they should pick up the rest of the bill because it was their responsability. She then told me that they wouldnt do that. So now not only am i stuck with an $800.00 FPL bill but just to get out of my new lease i have to pay another months rent.

Please do not ever think of renting from this community! I could go on and on but these were the main concerns!
